I can't say anything on the frame in particular, but I'm assuming it was ridden pretty hard this year. I would see if your friend would let you take it in for an inspection before you make any decision. I'm not saying he's trying to put one over on you, but there may be more damage than appears, and I'd at least like the piece of mind before ante-ing up

So right now i have an offer from a friend of mine for a $500 time edge racer frame. It's got a few scratches on it, but it's purely cosmetic. The purchase would include the full carbon frame, carbon fork, and carbon headset. He's raced all season with it which is why he's selling it to me for so cheap. It's in my size and i know that i'm going to need a fast carbon road frame for ITU world championships next summer. it sounds like a no brainer but i'm just wondering if anyone has anything bad to say about the time frames.
