I think this is a general disucssion question...I am going to a conference in Orlando next week at the Orange County Convention center and I have no idea what the area is like for running. Just wondering if anyone knows the area well enough to give me a direction. I need to cover about 9-10 miles in a loop or out and back. Otherwise I am stuck on a treadmill if the Sleep Inn even has one:(

Thanks a head of time for the help!

never been there but I use this site when I travel to find popular routes.

Thought it might help.

I live in Florida about 1 hr away from Orlando and have been there many times. The convention center and its surrounding area has some great running. Although in Orlando, you aren't a mile away from Disney, which isn't the best place to find running, (although they have nice training facilities) but the area your hotel is in should be around a good amount of grassed areas and small local roads.

Just stay away from the roads that lead to the nearby highways, and you should experience small amounts of traffic and great sidewalks to run , etc. Since a loop run, it should be even easier to find a good 4-5 miles.

If you have any other questions, I'll try to help.

You will have room to run, but you better like the concrete. If you run early enough, you may be able to run on the road (against traffic please, just jump onto the grass when something is oncoming)

I would do something like this:

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
