Re: Starting a Boston TRIFUEL team
I don't think there are any area Trifuel teams. We are just a community...we can link you to local teams (I think in the gear section).
That being said, I'd imagine there'd be plenty of trifuelers willing to do some group work if they're in your area (which I am not). Good luck
a couple other ideas for finding trifuelers or teams in the area. you can go to our member listing and plug in your zip code and filter down to those in your zip code range by mileage: http://www.trifuel.com/members/list
also a few clubs listed here you could look into:

i'll try to think of other ways to get a Boston group started of Trifuelers...
I'm sorry Trimapper couldn't help you out. I did some checking and I do see that I'm missing one listing on the map. It's for the MIT Triathlon Club. http://web.mit.edu/triathlon/www/ I'll make sure to add it to the map shortly.

Localized Trifuel sponsored tri-teams is a great way to drive traffic to trifuel.com!
I'm in Boston and always interested in putting something together.

I'm with Jwillia; near boston, always willing to train
Alright, well after the holidays starting Jan. 15th, we should get something organized. Personally, I am starting training then for the AMICA IRONMAN RHODE ISLAND happening in July of 2009. Along w/ this group training though, I really need to find an excellent personal trainer to help me w/ strength training, injury prevention and stretching for my left knee as I acquired a severe ligament injury due to running a couple of years ago. If I don't streghthen it properly throughout my 6 month training for the triathlon in July, I will never be able to complete the running portion of the triathlon.
Let's all keep in touch and get a Boston Trifuel team organized starting in mid January when everyone gets back form their holiday vacations.
Thanks.

Gabrielle-
I did the Amica Ironman R.I. last year; probably going to do it again. I live in Cambridge and I am joining the Harvard Swim Club in January to get myself ready for Ironman Wisconsin. Let me know if you want any details on the half Ironman in R.I.

I'm completely willing to find a group of people to train with. Right now my projected year features the boston marathon, an unknown international distance race in early summer and the Timberman 70.3 as my first HIM (possibly) in fall.
There are a lot of great triathlon teams in Boston. I just moved to MT from Boston and I cn tell you that the Boston Triathlon Team is awesome. You can google it and get on their listserve. They post a lot of interesting tri stuff as well as welcome people to their workouts and social events. They're very active. For example, every Sunday they have a group run hosted by someone (anyone) and the host plans out the run and they serves everyone breakfast. It's a great way to get to know people in Boston. You should definitely check it out!
Set goals...... but be here now. Enjoy the ride to the finish line.

According to the editor of the trifuel website there is currently no Boston trifuel team. Does anyone interested in training for triathlons in the Boston area want to get a trifuel training team started?
I swim on the MIT MASTERS swim team so I have the swimming part covered, but not the running and biking part of the training.
Thanks! :)
