Good luck. Philly is usually a chilly one. Good course, just a little hill around mile 10 or 11. The rest of the course is generally rolling easy inclines and declines.
Oh, just a thought - Anyone looking for some sugar while you are there, I have a Philly race tradition of going to Naked Chocolate on 14th and Walnut, best chocolate I've ever had. Cakes, bars, drinking chocolate, it's all wonderful!

I need a 3:20 for Boston, I'm getting old. This is my last chance to break 3 hours. Tried and failed twice and I am starting to feel like I have started down the other side of my running peak. Hopefully I still have one PR left.

Nice course for keeping a steady pace and pretty good scenery. Getting out of Manayunk can be tough though. Not stopping for a beer in Manayunk also takes will power.

Best of luck. Sub 3 hours sounds tough. I'd be thrilled for a 3:10 and BQ.
I'm going to be there too in the 3:30 coral. My bib # is 2068.
Hey Garen I'll be staying overnight downtown Philly do you want to meet? I still have your age group award from Quakerman. Ping me via PM or my mail on Yahoo (musiljan).
Good luck everybody on Sunday. Looks like we may be lucky and have a little warmer day for a change. The temperature should go up a little and I like this better than 90 degrees and humid.
Jan,
I will PM later this week. I usually park close to the Embassy Suites near 18th and the Ben Franklin Parkway. Easy walk up to the start. Weather could be ideal for good times.
If anybody is interested in meeting we could try for just to the left of the stairs to the Art Museum. I should get there by 6:00 or so. Great place across the street to skip those long potty lines. I know there are never enough but they don't even get close to having enough in Philly.
I will be there. Better
I will be there. Better cold than hot.
Philly is a perfect 1st marathon course.

so you're saying I shouldn't stop for one? I may have a sizable fan base there, so I may have to grab some "nutrition" on the go...
