For years I have trained by the "week" as I assume most of us have. I am seriously thinking to look at a 10-14 day "cycle" this coming year. This is particularly true because I am looking to pretty much exclusively run ultras in 2009. A longer "interval" would keep my legs a little fresher and once my base mileage is "in" would enable me to complete 50k-50mi with only two back to back long runs "cycle."
Anyone else have a unique structure to their training?
