bike shoes

they should feel like running shoes. comfy. dont get shoes too tight as your feet will swell on longer rides.
dont worry about falling over, it happens to everyone !

I have a great tri bike with Look pedals but I put a cage on them and ride with normal shoes. Bike shoes have always scared me (the idea of just keeling over at a stop sign)! I feel like now that I'm getting more serious about the whole sport and biking in particular I should get biking shoes (tri specific). Is there anything I should be looking for that may not be obvious. How should they fit?
I know the question is silly but I've just always been so intimidated by biking shoes.
Thanks
