Polar S625x
This is indeed a good question.
I own one of these and as I kept the pod with it's factory default and that's ok with me because as I alwas run the same route I am more interested by the relative variations recorded from one workout to the other.
Sometimes I have to do some stops and also wait at roads intersections and this is present in the graph, so I would say it does what is says.
For the GPS thingie the two main questions I see are:
- Do you always run on the same route ? => Maybe a simple podometer will do
- Do you train in Urban area ? => Potentialy some canyon effect

BTW there exists a Yahoo group dedicated to the Polar S625X:

Thanks troll...ill have to check that group out and see what they say.
Do you ever run the same route at markedly different paces and see if the readings for distance are the same??

Does anyone know how accurate the running sensor is on this product. It does not use GPS at all and I know you have to calibrate it on a track at a known distance before you start to use it. Im curious as to how accurate it is at varying paces or if you can calibrate it at multiple paces.
thanks ya'll
