For all those bike accidents that do or don't get reported, plus it would be handy to know what areas to keep and extra eye out for. I'm totally not around Portland, but I think a few people around here are and figured I'd pass it on.

Great idea. Here in Minneapolis/St. Paul there was an article in the paper a couple of weeks ago where there's been a huge increase in the number of motor vehicle vs cyclist accidents this year.

The fact that such a site exists for Portland (which apparently is very cycling friendly) is harbinger of doom for me in anti-cycling Dallas. Not to threadjack, but even Dallas cops run over and kill kids on bikes (Oct. 18) and them blame the kid for riding in the street. I wonder how other cities could start such a site. (Not that is would matter. I'm so defeated.)

It looks like you could use it for anywhere covered by google maps. Hopefully I won't need to add my own reports any time soon.
