Do you mean pedals?
What do you mean by 'do I tape them' ?

I wouldn't tape your new clip-on earrings. If they're not tight enough just adjust the spring tension.

Kidding ;-) Kinda slow at work today.

You're going to have to elaborate a bit here...

Handle bars is my guess. And yeah, lotsa people tape them.

Weary is the path that does not challenge.

Yes the earings will have a litle spring in them, if not, then if you squeeze them a little harder then theyll stick on.

As for your aero bars....its all what youd like to do. I know the ITU guys dont do it but if your considering spending some serious time on them then it wouldnt be a bad idea.

Sorry, I ment my earrings. I'll look into the springs.

Just kidding, I just got my first clip-on aero bars in the mail a day or so ago. I must say, they do look kind of cool. I thought that I should put handle bar tape on them to make them more comfortable but have graphics all over them and the ones I have noticed on the trail the last couple of weeks didn't have any tape.

Thanks jhudalla. I think I will pick up some tape.

ooooh aerobars... I was also thinking pedals :)

I do put bar tape on my aerobars. For over 100 miles (or even for 10 miles) the comfort is worth it to me!

Okay, clip on aero bars makes more sense.
I just got stup on the pedals and couldn't get off that train of thought. ;-)

I do have my aero bars taped, much mor comfy that way

I don't, but don't see a problem with it. I have carbon stryke clip-ons (ski bend style) and find when I'm riding aero, my forearms are resting in the pads and my hands are only lightly gripping the ends of the bars, there is not really any other contact between me and the bars to bother me. Also, when riding on the pursuit bars, I usually grip much tighter than I do to my aerobars. Basically, since a lot of the aero steering comes from forearms and body weight, there isn't enough hard contact for me to need any padding.

I left my aerobars uncovered, more due to laziness than anything else though. Maybe one of these cold winter nights coming soon I'll go nuts and retape my bars entirely.

I would do enough for the width of your hands, especially if you race without gloves.

Make sure it's some gnarly color, completely out of sync with what you wear and the colors on the bike.
