I am buying a new wheelset. It has pretty much come down to these two. I will be training and racing on the wheels so I want them to be durable ( I weigh 150 lbs). Are they about the same? Am I just comparing apples and oranges here? I would appreciate some honest advice. Or do I just scrap both and get Easton EA90TT?

I have FP 60s. Been training and racing on them with my Cervelo P2C for about 18 months now with no issues. I weight 160lbs and train on the streets of NYC, pretty much as bumpy a road surface as you're going to find. Hope that helps, but don't have an opinion on the other types though

I ride a HED Jet 60/90 combo as my daily trainer and race wheel. I live and ride on roads in upstate NY, so again, not the greatest roads to be riding on. Just remember, the HED's are a carbon fairing that is attached to the rim. The fairing is very thin and does not work structurally at all. However, if I am not mistaken, I believe the flashpoints carbon fairing, using the zipp technology, are actually structural. Somebody may know more about this and the pro/cons, but to give you an opinion, I love the HED's.

Both are good choices and are going to be about the same as far as speed / aerodynamics are concerned. The Hed is a carbon faring bonded to an aluminum rim while the FP is a structural carbon rim. I have a Jet 60/90 and was going to get a FP60/80 but they didn't get the 80's out in time. Both are around the same price so as long as you don't care about the faring then it's all about what you like the look of. Btw, Hed has different color stickers.

Looked into the carbon faring issue v. Zipps when I made my purchase and decided it didn't make a difference to me. The Heds are fast. I weigh 168 and ride Jet 60s as my training and race wheel (I want the PT data). Love them. Really nice wheels. Maybe I should have waited for the C2s, but...
