I sweat! A lot! My clothes get waterlogged and heavy. Ideas?
There's only so much that moisture wicking cloth can do. It can't ring out your clothes, lower the temp or humidity. I ditch the shirt and recently I started wearing my shorts/socks in the shower with me. They are already soaked, but now instead of being soaked with sweat, they are soaked with shower water when I toss them in the dirty laundry.
try scott i do the same thing - otherwise my wife said i would have to start doing my own workout clothes!
for really long runs you could always just pack an extra shirt. on my really long runs 3-4 hours i usually run with a camelbak blowfish, it could easily carry an extra shirt.
during trail ultras i always pack an extra shirt and socks for that very reason as well...
Tri shorts and no shirt...or a tight tri singlet. Yeah the shorts get wet but they're tight and so don't chaff like baggie shorts...I start wearing a shirt when temps get in the 50's. If I have to wear a shirt, some tight lycra thing with a pocket...doesn't matter if it gets wet it still clings.
That's the thing about running in some areas of the country...HUMID and when it's like that, regardless of temp...no evaporation.

My roommate/training partner is definitely a super-sweater, he often has to place giant stand fans around the living room to dry off when I'm totally comfortable in jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. In terms of run prep he douses himself (and the entire bathroom, to my dismay) with talcum powder and a few various gold-bond-esque products. He still comes back in after the quickest of jogs drenched from head to foot but he seems avoid any rashing or things like that.
I think I only a sweat a 'normal amount' but I still get into the shower with my top and shorts on post-workout and rinse and wring them out a few times to get all the funk out of them. We also have one of those college dorm room collapsable metal clothing racks that we set up in the bathtub between showers to help dry everything off. That seems to head off all the smells and nasty clothes.
I dont really have a whole lot to add, just to say your name looks familiar ;)
I dont run with a shirt unless a)it's cold out or b) I am racing a HIM or longer/ the race demands it, which never happens.) I'm in FL, so I know a bit about humid, and I find the only way to avoid being saturated is to simply wear less.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
Being a clydesdale, I 1) tend to sweat a lot, and 2) like to workout with upper body coverage most of the time (mostly for the sake of others).
I do second the tighter clothing idea...it won't sag and/or feel as heavy when it inevitably gets soaked. Just make sure to lube yourself liberally with Body Glide or something similar...unless it's super-skin tight, there will be motion against the skin..which in turn leads to the dreaded chafing.
Also, dry fit clothes tend to retain odor better than regular, so wash/rinse/freshen them up well and often
Living in Florida TriGuy98 and I know what you're talking about. Forget "wicking" clothes here! You're a sweaty mess as soon as you get warmed up. I wear tight shorts (not those loose runner shorts) and a tank top. May not look fantastic, but it doesn't weigh me down.
Be sure you're replacing electrolytes too...especially when its so dang hot and humid outside. You're losing tons of essential minerals through sweat and it'll knock you on your @$$ if you're not careful.

aren't you on a *cough* honeymoon *cough* right now?
Nope... we only had a quick trip -- a couple days in Monterey, a week in Canada (ok so I guess it actually was pretty long for us) and I've been back at work since the 17th or so. I was just a slacker on posting stuff about it ;)
Besides, it's Charles... Mike would understand. They have met. And peed in the same wetsuit ;)
As far as I know it was not together ;)

Sweat Jesus, some things ... Nevermind....
Pain is the sensation of weakness leaving the body!

Whenever I run more than 10K, I sweat completely through my clothes. I wear the nike dryfit shirts, and shorts, yet it's like I've been in the pool. Especially here in NY when it gets humid and overcast, and there's no sun.
Any clothing recommendations?
