So i just pulled the trigger on Cali 70.3 as of right now it is the start of my race season, but i dont really want it that way. I have been using trifind and other sites to try and find a late feb early march race as a tune-up but i cant find any in the nor-cal area. Distance is not supper important but i would like to do a real race before the fourth, any one got ideas in the nor-cal area. I do live in Reno but driving is not a bad thing but flying is not an option. If it is my first of the year so be it i will live and have a great time doing it. Cheers.

If your going to do something wrong enjoy it.

I doubt you'll find anything that early since it's cold & wet up here that time of year. Oceanside is most likely going to be the start of your season... mine as well.

Mine too!

Weary is the path that does not challenge.

It will also be the start to my cheering season! Mike will be racing it (that one just doesn't appeal to me -- no idea why -- so I cheer).

Finishing the race is the only thing that validates the cause.

Anyone got a hotel room they want to split? I'm not looking forward to the 100 bucks a night or whatever it is and I am planning on staying 2 nights (friday and saturday night).

Consider doing a few indoor race simulations at your health club.

My husband and I signed up for this race. It will be our first Half-Ironman. I am super excited, except for the whole possible stress fracture on my left leg. That's why winter is for, right?...recovering! Can't wait until April because I just finished my last race of the year (OC Tri). See you all there!
