New Half Iron Tri event in Connecticut in 2009
Connecticut has some nice events. It is pretty close for me in NJ.
I might have to check this out ;-)
'Nothing to it, but to do it!'
Huh looks interesting... seems like they already have a number of big names working with them.

Just have to wait a bit, they are planning an Iron distance event in 2010.

the technology in this race looks suh-weet. from the website:
"A new and unique feature will be incorporated into the triathlon event that will allow friends, family and spectators to track athletes in real-time. Revolution3 is teaming up with Trakkers, a GPS technology company that will provide spectators real-time athlete information such as location, speed, heart rate, elevation and current pace. All of this information will be available for spectators to view at the race via computers set up in the transition area."
I like this new race company and i wish them success with this race and with others to come. i hope they become a competitor to wtc, because their race fees are absolutely outrageos, especially the HIM or "70.3" events.
The proliferation of half-iron distance races has been amazing and I see no end in sight unless the ailing economy becomes a deterrent. As for full iron races, the logistics and cost to stage one is far greater. I foresee a constriction in full IM events around the world. As fate would have it, the sale of the IM franchise probably couldn't have come at a better time.

WOW! $100,000 pro prize purse and $20,000 in cash and prizes for age-group athletes. I wonder if they will take care of this money with a high registration fee?
