Big News Just Got Bigger
That's great news! I think I'd opt for twins over a couple of races any day! Way to go! Now your races will be to and from the grocery store. Hope your car is fun to drive.
Weary is the path that does not challenge.
Well, we're having twins! I think my 2009 tri season just got reduced to a couple of sprints and maybe a couple of October Dus.
Dus for twins, Tris if its triplets? :)

I'd be in shock. Best wishes to your family!
Awesome!!! Wait till they both want carbon bikes at the same time!!!
I have twins, it's hard at 1st, but they are great- I am finally getting rid of all the baby gear- I am done having kids...be prepared, to live, eat, sleep and breathe babies for a long while- but the joy is unparallelled
Congrats - We'll see you in 22 years!! Just kidding I hope! ;-)
Pain is the sensation of weakness leaving the body!
I'm so sorry, do you realize how much your going to spend buying them their first pair of TT bikes? :) Congrats
be prepared, to live, eat, sleep and breathe babies for a long whiled
Are you married to Alice Cooper?
BTW, Congratulations
Awesome awesome news. Best of luck to you and hope ou can get back to tri's when the twins allow it!
You might be going up an age group or 2 before you can get competitive again!! ;-)

okay, so my participle was dangling, or whatever, don't EAT the BABIES...just know, that you will have to learn to eat fast, shower fast, and expect little to no sleep- and you may need your transition bag to transition to a diaper bag with all the pockets for diapers, wipes, baby food, diaper rash cream (bag balm is good for that too), clothes changes for you and the babies (in case of vomit or poop- hopefully the babies') and the million other things it will take to get out of the house for the 1st 2 years
Congrats! and Good Luck! :)
Please don't eat the babies...I think there's a law or something against that, maybe.
Congrats! Ya, so basically, forget next season, but three or four years from now, it will be awesome to have your own matching cheering section!
To tri or not to tri - that's not a question at all!
Double jogging stroller, Double bike trailer ;-)
Wife and I went to look at some baby stuff and I started to realize how much this is going to cost. Thank God for grandparents!
I'd be in shock. Best wishes to your family!
Shock? This goes way beyond shock. But once the shock wears off, I know I'm going to love it.
1. Awesome!!! Wait till they both want carbon bikes at the same time!!!
2. I'm so sorry, do you realize how much your going to spend buying them their first pair of TT bikes? :) Congrats
Didn't even think of this. You two are killing me.
be prepared, to live, eat, sleep and breathe babies for a long while
MMMMMM, that was good. By the way, what's a dangling participle? Oh no! :)
You might be going up an age group or 2 before you can get competitive again!! ;-)
Well I'll be up 1 age group for sure. Another thing I didn't think about!
Thanks for all the congrats. It's going to be one hell of a ride! I'm looking to race only sprints for now, and those will be limited at best.

Congratulations! I'll probably be in the same boat next year ( I don't know about twins). My wife and I are wanting to start a family in about a year. I think Silverman this year will be my last big race for a while. That's OK with me though, can't wait to have little carpet monkeys swimming biking and running around.
How very exciting! Congrads.
Wow.
Congratulations! (and good luck)
I can picture you next Mother's Day you pushing Sarah & Sally in the double baby-jogger for 3k while the wife does the 10k - and you get all the attention from the other "Moms."
heh.
Were you looking for congratulations or sympathy?
Never mind, have both!

I love kids - other people's.
I'll play with 'em all day,
then I want to give 'em back at 4 o'clock.

We had our first last week. Our daughter is now 6 days old. It is an awesome experience. The huge sense of accomplishment from finishing a tri doesn’t even come close. With that said, it has been a stressful and exhausting 6 days, but I would not trade it for anything. I will admit I cannot even begin to imagine how exhausting twins will be. Good luck! My wife had so many things organized before and it has been so helpful.
How exciting.. Kids don't compare to anything. They are the best life can give you. The first few months are hard and adjusting is required. If anyone tells you different, then tell them to write a book and that they could be rich. Enjoy every moment becuase they grow so fast. I guss I should kid, becuase I only have one. The nephew and nieces though add to it!
Congratulations! I will never forget the day I found out I was having twins. My husband and I were thrilled and scared! But it has been an incredible experience. My girls will be turning 11 in a few weeks and I don't know where the time went. I am hoping to get them signed up for their first kids tri this season. And I was crazy enough to go back and have two more kids! I hope your wife is having a good pregnancy...it can be very tough at the end. Get as organized as you can and get as much help as you possibly can. If you don't have grandparents around, find a qualified babysitter. The best way to ease the adjustment is to have a weekly date night with NO BABIES! Good luck to you! ~Toni
Congratulations!

Just got back from the Dr to see how the pregnancy is going. Well, we're having twins! I think my 2009 tri season just got reduced to a couple of sprints and maybe a couple of October Dus.
