Hey Yall,

Got the new HED 3 Carbons yesterday, and I will say the TUFO Tubulars were a breeze to put on the wheels, using the TUFO Extreme Tape. I also bought sets of Zipp Carbon Brake Pads to use with the Carbon Wheels.

These wheels are Awesome! The GURU felt like a real rocket, and the Polar Power Sensor shows a definite drop in Power for the same speed. I'll get some numbers next week.

The bad thing is, the Zipp Carbon Brake Pads sound AWFUL! First time I hit the brakes, I thought the pads were going to gouge a hole in the rims. I stopped and looked, and everything seemed OK, is it just me, or am I hearing the difference between Carbon and Aluminum Wheels? Since I've never ridden on Carbon rims before, I don't know.

Anyway, these wheels sound great when spinning up, hopefully, I can get out tomorrow to my normal riding area to see what these babies will do.

Now,if I can just get rid of this cold that's been hanging on for the last two weeks...

Ciao,
