Well, I completed the Long Island TOBAY triathlon this weekend, my last sprint of the season before I begin training for my long fall of 5 half-marathons and 4 fulls. What a great experience! I only got into triathlon's this year, and only as a means to vary up my workouts to help prevent injuries and keep morale up. But I definitely think that I'll incorporate more next season and maybe try and work up to a HIM in the fall.

I just wanted to thank you, as well as the kind athletes I met at the races, for welcoming me into your fold and giving me all the advice and encouragement that you have over past few months.

For those of you who are interested, you can link to my blog below and see a race report as well as some excellent photo's taken by my amazing 'coach' who also doubles as my best friend, masseuse and girlfriend. Here's a sample shot!

I'll be running the East Hampton's Marathon in the end of September with my training partner (his first marathon), then for my 24th birthday I'm going to celebrate by running 3 marathons in a month, the Dublin, the New York and then the Philadelphia. Just a shameless plug - I'm running the New York Marathon for the Team for Kids Charity. I've already raised about $700 on my way to $2500 minimum donation (they take the rest out my bank account). If anyone feels generous they can contribute at http://www.nyrrc.org/cgi-bin/htmlos.cgi/mar-programs/nyrrf/team/2008/don... using my racer ID # 232291 and my last name, Dennis. I understand that this isn't the appropriate forum to ask for donations, but I thought I'd throw it out here anyway.

Thanks again guys! See you on the bike path!
