In celebration of completing my first tri at age 62, I've changed my username from SammyB to TriGramps. As Great Greyhound said, it was hot & humid, 80°/80% and I think that they didn't measure the 1K swim correctly, it was way too long. Seemed like everyone swam over me, but no bad kicks. I passed my trainer on the bike leg despite putting on a running shoe in T1 then realizing it needed to be a bike shoe. Then she passed me in the 2nd transition (must need practice there), but I passed her on the run and stayed ahead, so that was fun. My times were bad (worse than my training runs), but even with having to walk most of the run because of a bad knee, I still finished 2nd in my Age Group: got to love being old! Thanks for everyone's help, tips, and encouragement. It was a blast. --Sam
