Unless you have Dura Ace hubs on the new wheelset, yes, you should be able to mount a 10sp cassette and ride off into the sunset. You will not, however, get your 10sp drivetrain to work on the 9sp cassette (at least not properly).

So the wheel set that came on my bike has a duraace 7800 10spd cassette. I recently procured a wheelset with a 9spd duraace cassette. Will I be able to make this new(er) wheelset work with a new 10 spd cassette? Or can I make it work with the 9spd?
I should really know this stuff...
Weary is the path that does not challenge.
