So, with IMC and Chicago being large events, along with a variety of other races this weekend. It seems like trifuelers will be busy this weekend. Good luck to all racing and I am excited to see the upcoming RRs.

Since I haven't heard anything from any of the other 17 TFers (at least) that are supposedly racing Accenture Chicago Sunday, I'll start the discussion.

I'll be there...get in around 2-3pm Saturday. Staying at the Hilton (host hotel). Will be around the expo from when I check in probably until it closes and will be near the hotel if not in it the entire time. My family (mom, dad, sister...and sister's friend) will be meeting me there around our check-in time. I'm sure I'll have some downtime to meet with any other TFers interested at least to say hi. I've yet to meet a trifueler. PM me if interested.

Also, even though it's not an all-day affair like IMs, they do offer athlete tracking, so post bib numbers so interested parties can follow us...or at least so I can look up everyones times and see how much faster than me you are when I get home.

Here's me (and my posse):
Me - 4760
Sister - 4468
Dad - 7339
Sister's friend (putting us all to shame I'm sure) - 4227

GL again everyone

Me: 3917

Just checked the start list, and noticed I'll be competing against 685 others...In my age group (25-29). Crazy... I hope we all get to start together to make it an even race.

I doubt I'll be finishing too well. I've been having some severe knee pain since my last run (only hurts when walking/running) and may step off the course after the bike. I'm definitely up for hanging with a few other kids before/after the race. I'll be sure to bring some drinks for unwinding during the pro race, as I doubt there will be any provided for us.

This will be my fisrt time doing this race. I've heard several hours can pass between transition close and when your wave goes off. For those of you who have doe htis race before, what do you do to pass the time?

I've heard the same...and with being clydesdale (usually one of the last waves), I anticipate I'll be doing the waiting. I wish they'd post the wave start times somewhere so I can plan what to do. I may go back to the hotel to avoid being in the sun too long, or more likely I'll just find some shade and watch the other people I know in the race. I figure with 4 of my group racing (in 3 AGs) and my looking for TFers on the course, that should pass the time.

Good luck! I did it in '05 and '06, but I'm headed back to school so I can't do it this year... If you are in a later wave, watch out for water bottles all over the road on the bike course. It can be a bit of a zoo.

Oh I'm getting excited...finished my last taper swim this morning, I should survive that leg which is a plus. I also cleaned my bike last night head-to-toe, since we all know it's more about looks than going fast. I'll keep my eye out for TF race numbers

Really? Damn. I better get a new white vinyl "C" decal for my bike then. I've been riding a "ervelo" for thepast month and a half...

And I'm off...to Hamilton, IN tonight (wife's families lake house) for a little relaxation and to shorten the drive tommorrow. Then to Chi-town by tommorrow 2-2:30ish.

Good luck to everyone racing in Chicago, IMCanada, and everywhere else this weekend
