Timing Error

So after doing my 2nd sprint on Sunday I went up to check the results, it was a small field of around 250 so they printed and posted them right after the race. Didn't see my results up there - so I went to talk to one of the timers.
He informed me for some reason my chip didn't pick-up at the finish but they did have all my other splits. I couldn't remember who I finished behind so I told him it wasn't a big deal I am usually around a 8:00 pace so just put me down for 25:00 for the 5k and I'm fine with that.
So I go to check my results online last night and they put me in for a 16:00 5K :) . Got a good laugh out of that one seeing as how I couldn't run that pace for a 1/4 mile let alone a whole 5K.

In the future, if you have a watch and time yourself, you could use that for instances where a time was not registered with an official. It does happen. It was good to make you think wow 16:00...

Did you at least win the run with that time? You probably missed some hardware!

To tri or not to tri - that's not a question at all!

Sorry - Guess I didn't make it clear there was no way I ran that time. The fastest I have ever ran a 5k before was 21:40 and that was by itself. They screwed up and randomly just gave me the wrong time of 16:00 for it.
Fortunately I struggle with my bike still so I didn't cheat a deserving person out of the top 3 for our age group.

I think the earlier responses were tongue in cheek. You should retire now and show anyone who doubts your ability these results. If they can't run that fast off the bike then who are they to judge?! ;-)
