I saw that... and am wishing it was easier to read where the date info is... arg. Looks like one ok, might have one to replace.

meh. I have 9/05 KeO Sprints, but I'll take my chances (which are 14/40000 or 1/2850 or 0.035%, according to the recall page).
The nearest "Authorized Axle Replacement shop" (search here ) is 15 miles away. That or I ship my pedals off and don't ride for, what, a week? No thanks.
The funny thing is that I'm trying to remember when I actually got the pedals, and I can not believe it was that late because these are the only clipless I've ever had, and I started riding in fall of '04, so that means I rode with running shoes and straps for a whole year at least. ::shudders::

I think my 05 ones are ones I got in early 08! Which is why I want to be sure I'm actually seeing the date right. But it's easier for me -- I work across the street from a replacement shop.

Don't be fooled by when you bought them. I bought two pair of Keo Sprints at the same time. One has an '02 year stamp, the other has an '04.

Yeah, that's why I'm checking. It surprises me that they would have been around in the shop that long, but who knows what Look's distribution stuff is like. I will check again once I can find a better light or magnifying glass ;)
