Go to Trifind.com and look at your options. Savageman Half and Int'l distances are,I think, two weeks later. The Patriots Half and Int'l distances in Williamsburg, VA is the same weekend that Annapolis is supposed to be. I forget when Make-a-Wish is over in Bethany Beach, but it's usually mid to late September.
I'm really disappointed. This was likely my last race of the year, and my cousin (a midshipman at USNA) was going to do it with me. The Aquathon option, without bike, really isn't interesting me for that amount of money.

There are several races coming up in the area. Next weekend (aug 17) there's an Olympic and Sprint race in North East, MD. Look at CGIracing dot com for more info. That same weekend there is also a sprint race in Delaware called the Lums Pond Tri. I believe that Piranha puts on that race. I've heard that is a very good race. It's a sprint, but the bike is almost 20 miles. I guess it's flat too. Good luck.

There's also an Oly in Lancaster County on 09/06 that I've done the last two years - nice race:

They most likely won't sell out (they had 300 in it last year and 500 slots available).

I was very dissappointed about this race being cancelled/altered as well...this was going to be my A race.....I have seen plenty of other races this same weekend though, so just look through the internet and you'll find some. The lums pond tri is a very good one! I did it last year...flat and fast and not a big race in terms of athletes...
It looks as though the Annapolis Triathlon is canceled for this year. The organizer aren't able to get a permit for the bike course. This was to be an olympic distance race on september 7th. Does anyone know of any other races in Maryland or Pennsylvania being held around the same time? I have a marathon coming up in October and would like to get another tri in this year.
