Moving To Colorado- Race Suggestions?
I don't know how far this is from Ft. Collins but this one looks pretty cool and challenging

Grand Junction, CO
Rim Rock Mesa 37k (23 miles) - starts at east entrance to Colorado National Monument -- about 3.5 miles tough uphill, then somewhat level, still climbs, descending several miles to the finish at the west Monument entrance. all paved. about 2,000 ft elevation gain. unparalled scenery.
At Colorado National Monument, southwest of Grand Junction. shuttles provided. Plan on attending the "pre-rimrock banquet" at Mesa State College the evening before -- ALWAYS a top notch speaker! (past people have included Joe Henderson, Don Kardong, Mark Plaatjes, etc.)
you can check out their site: http://www.rimrockrun.org
Wow, that's a timely, detailed and very persuasive race suggestion. Chunky, how did they do that?

How's this for timely:
I don't know how far you are from a shoe store, but may I suggest Nike Air Max 360 III Synthetic Leather Men's Running shoe. This high performance shoe sports the most Nike Air-Sole cushioning every engineered into a running shoe. Suffice to say, it'll be a sweet ride. Oh also, may I suggest gatorade (is it in you) during the event and pre-race hydration.
At least it is something triathlon and it is targeted for tjhe right area.
Nothing to it, but to do it
"I'm interested in trying to find some races (tris or running) for September/October."
I found a running event in CO. I AM an active runner and rrca member. So what is the problem?
You can't be a runner and own a business at the same time?
No running events in september/october looked good, so I posted one that is held in November and looks decent. Bash me for not finding an event in the right month, not for owning a small business and trying to promote my site.

Don't be so easy on yourself 'cause this one might be all that you have left
Garden of the Gods 10 miler in CO Springs.
Pikes Peak. The whole taco...not just the ascent like some folks we know. ;) It's a great race...I DNF'd the damn thing in 1977 when there were no aid stations, got altitude sickness and couldn't run anymore by the time I got to Barr Camp on the way back down. Violently ill....It'll be fun!
Leadville 100 miler.

I'm in Leadville right now, on vacation. I got to run and hike some parts of the Leadville Trail 100. That would be such a brutal race. Anton, when are you going to do it?
Oh, and if you do find yourself in Leadville, check out High Mountain Pies pizza. Its the best.

I'm moving out to Ft. Collins, CO in a few weeks to start grad school. I'm interested in trying to find some races (tris or running) for September/October. Any suggestions for some good ones along the front range? Thanks for the help
