Wahoo! We were all rooting for you all the way. Check out your earlier thread to know you were getting all sorts of good Trifuel vibes.

You are amazing! Your write up was better than anything I've read from Dean K-arazee. I read somewhere that ultramarathons make you confront your soul, and in doing that you could have quit and no one would have made a peep, but you would always know. And you came out on the other side. Great job! Your tale, call me crazy, reinvigorated my desire to do an ultra. And for that, I thank you!

Again. Amazing!

Weary is the path that does not challenge.

Andrea, That was a great race report. I feel for you. How do you feel about doing Umsted?

Congrats...Awesome race report. I think the ultra race reports are so fun to read since they really cover the mental shifts that take place.

Thank you tri-friends! Believe me when I say that I called on every one of you for strength to make it through this one. Wow it was tough! I'm still shaking my head...there's NO WAY living in Florida we can train properly for a race in the mountains. IM Switz will be a cake walk next year compared to Vermont!!! haha

Beads: Had I done 100K at Umstead, I would have probably finished in 14 hours, if that tells you anything about the Vermont course.

At one handler station a runner said to me (because I was wearing an Ironman hat), "Ironman? Aren't you out of your element here?" At that moment I agreed with him, but didn't have the energy for a witty reply!

Oh, I just read through your comments during the run. That is So awesome! I WAS feeling you!!! And Kylie was right about the times...I WISH I had run 11min/mi. My friend (a non-athlete) saw the results and assumed I came in 26th OVERALL!! What a hoot that would have been! You trifuelers rock :)

Well just so you know... you were the #1 trifueler and the #1 person I know and the #1 race report I've read ;)

Man someday I would really love to do one of those crazy relay things with you and Beads and Anton and etc... (or even just an ultra) guess I'll have to come over to the other coast for one!

Well I tried to convince my mom we should do some wedding stuff on the 11th/12th in San Fran so I'd be there... but she said those are bad days for her. LA is a bit of a drive for me now that I live even farther inland, but I'm working on it!

you ROCK!!!!! I am so impressed- with your journey and with you RR- I have to say, that looks like something I never want to do- but who knows, when tris are old hat (haha) and I can conquer an IM, maybe I'll need something more for my masochism...

Oh yes, ultra is a whole different kind of masochism... I saw the dark side that Anton talks about... And yet, I think I could do it again!
