Morning: 3300 scm before heading in to work.
Lunch: Easy 6.7 km recovery run in the rain. I suppose it's not so bad. After all, once you're wet, you're wet. At least I had enough wits about me to pick a route that was uphill/into the wind on the outbound leg which made the return just a little more bearable.

i set a rule up. for myself. no riding under 55 degrees.

quite comfortably actually.... i may have looked 3 times my weight, but i finished the ride happy...
2 pairs of wool socks and booties
light-mid weight patagucci long underwear and wind/rain pants over the bike shorts (with a rubber band around the right side so the don't get caught in the drive train...
midweight capilene, jersey, this mtn hardwear -- forgot what's its called -- its like a wind breaker lightly lined with fleece
lobster gloves, light fleece balaclave, and sunglasses....
the only thing that was cold was my nose, and i wouldn't have called my toes warm...
my gatorade froze solid near the end, but i anticipated that and drank most of it earlier.... or i could have kept one in my jersey pocket between layers for a longer ride...
i'm pretty confident i have the clothes to ride in colder weather (haven't broken out the full face mask yet and could have added plenty more layers) as i have lots of warm clothes from various backpacking trips, and as long as i either have spots along the way to refill/unfreeze my bottles or devise a system with my camelback and hot pads
i think it will be under 55 degrees for most of my collegiate races... 55 is the cutoff i use for no more long spandex
with today's 45 degrees, its hard to believe it started out as 15 yesterday morning...

Recovery from long run day. Swim workout, 200 swim, 150 kick, timed 1 mile swim. Did the mile in 35:27. Not gonna break any records, but it always feels good to hit the mile mark in the pool.
