I Can Do It!
well done Sam. Looking forward to the race report later this month. Keep at it!
Congrats and I wish that I could pre-race my first race, but they only set the pool up completely for race day. So I will do the bike and the run portion in about three weeks.
But great news and congratulations on being able to do the race.
Congratulations Sam, that should give you a lot of confidence for the big day!

Race Day is 24 Aug, http://hfpracing.com/eventinfo.php?eventid=42. 33 days to loose 20 pounds! Shouldn't have had the coke-cola today!
Great job Sam! :) It's great when you check out the course and have a "I can do it!" result! Great confidence boost!

This is the old (62) guy again (see my post, http://www.trifuel.com/forum/13514/is-there-hope-for-62-year-old). Finally did a run thru of the Buck Creek tri and I made it, so I guess it's a go for the real thing at the end of next month. It felt really good to make it thru, even though I didn't press my self: total time was just under 2 hours which would have put in in fifth place last year (yep, there were only 4 in the over 60 bracket, LOL). I just spun thru the bike leg at a cadance of 85 and walked most of the 5 km run cause my knee has been giving me fits. BTW thanks to whomever recommended working out with a kettlebell. I got one and it forever wipes out any excuses for not doing any training today. Even with a bum knee, I can do a quick workout and have both strength training and cardo thrown in. Thanks again for all the encouragement! --Sam
