Congrats on the run improvement! And congrats on getting through with less than ideal training time :)

This was my first race of the season, and for this race I wasn't able to get in the pool or on the bike much. I was pretty much limited to thirty minute runs about 4 days a week. I probably got in the pool once or twice, but I rode on my bike twice before this race. To say the least, I was impressed by my performance. I was only three seconds longer then my time last year. (1:07.51) For not getting on the bike much and only being able to workout a limited number of times before it, I think I did fairly well.
Tuxbro always does a great job with their triathlons. If you live in Indy and haven't done one of there races yet, I highly encourage you to. They're well organized, plenty of volunteers, good biking course and great food at the end. My swim time was 10:32.3 with a TI time of 1:13. I had a rough time in the water because I didn't get myself placed in a spot where I wouldn't get run over. I didn't get smacked in the face at all, but I was shoved under a couple times and did some shoving myself. Who ever said triathlons are not a contact sport, are dead wrong. lol
I didn't do as well on the bike. Last year I did better. I had a time of 30:54 with a T2 of 1:14. I passed a lot of people on the hills though, which is probably because I did almost all of my running on hills. It actually felt pretty sweet to be able to absolutely kill the hills and still keep a good pace. My run time was 23:54 which was almost a whole minute less then my last years time. For me, that makes me really happy. I've struggled with running a lot, and to have this much improvement, really makes me excited for my next race in August.
It was a great race, beautiful weather, water was really warm though, 81 degrees. And my HR broke, which really sucked! Water got in it, I had just gotten the battery replaced and the jeweler who did it, probably didn't do something right, kind of frustrating. Oh well, that's life.
