If possible, could anyone who has any advance knowledge of any upcoming televised Ironman events, please post the information. I don't know when or how often they are televised, but they are surely inspirational to watch. Thanks.

OLN (outdoor living network) aired several IM events last year. I would check their website to see when or if they are going to replay them.
Figures that is the one station my cable company doesn't carry :(
I wish that was the only station my cable company carried. I don't have tv (haven't for about 6 months - got tired of getting sucked into unreal reality shows :)), and the only thing I miss is my OLN. Will give in and order cable when the cycling shows start airing.
Tri Bro and gang,
I agree with you about the unreal reality shows! It seems like that is all that is on TV anymore. A couple of nights ago, I got home late from work, the kids were already in bed and the Mrs. and I sat down to watch some TV and the only selection we had was Remodeling a whole house in 24 hours with $100.00, or Who is shagging with the neighbors wife now. Ok so maybe I am stretching the truth a bit but I am pretty accurate. So we decided to pop in our wedding video (AGAIN), which in all honesty is still kind of funny to watch.
But I will never cancel cable becasue it is a life saver with kids. We turn on Harold and his magical crayon and my little Beauties are mezmerized (sp?)
And I am a huge fan of OLN!
Just my thoughts on TV
But to get back to the main question, I would suggest going to your local sports bar/pubs. They usually have the Sat. Setups that they can get any station and all you have to do is ask and they usually will put it on a screen for you.
The disadvantage, you have to read the captions, no sound!
The advantage...you can tip back a few cold ones.
Another option you might consider is to buy a few Ironman DVDs. I can particularly recommend 1995 and 2003. They're a little on the expensive side but perfect for popping on to watch during those indoor trainer sessions.
