Wish me luck guys, I somehow stuck my mouth in front of my brain again and boasted that with the Tri training I am doing I could easily bust a 22 min 5k tomorrow morning.

Well my bud took me up on it and said he would pay the entry fee. So off I go to attempt it. My 2 mile speed work indicates that I should be good for about a 20:30 or so. But never in my life have I held that pace for the extra 1.1 miles.

So if you would say a prayer and wish a little luck. Race is at 7:30 est. tomorrow morning. Firecracker Frolic here I come :-).

Good Luck! Just don't puke trying to catch up to your mouth :)

Thanks, passout or puke this one is going to hurt, and it is dang early in the morning and not flat here in the foothills of the Appalachia's.

Hanging is what I had. They changed the nice course with an easy finish to a course straight from Satan. Finished in 24.5 Still won but legs are now toasted. That long ride tomorrow will be tough.

What the heck? You got your entry fee paid for and a really good, hard workout out of it. Could be worse! Good luck on that ride. I also ran a 5K and I PRd but I don't do 'run til you puke' so I suspect I'm in better shape for my ride than you are for yours ;-)

Your right and thanks. I should be thankful. My daughters 5 and 9 ran with my wife and finished in 40:20 or so. I was super proud on that one.

Happy 4th everybody and I hope everyone elses day is going well. Make sure that you are safe with your fireworks.
