Race motivation song
The Nobodies - Marilyn Manson
Sonne - Rammstein
Trip like I do - The Crystal Method
Resurrected from nowhere by someone who's never posted before...welcome to the site
"Rods and Cones" by Blue Man Group
"Bleed it Out" by Linkin Park
I know there's more...just first 2 to pop into mind
first race day a couple months away, but for training:
when starting on bike: "Devil Went Down to Georgia" - Charlie Daniels Band
when starting run: "Where are we runnin?" - Lenny Kravitz
for pace maintenance, I can't beat Metallica or Rage Against the Machine. and of course your classics like GnR, AC/DC, etc. St. Anger is awesome on hills.

Headstrong by trapt gets me pretty pumped up
I came across this song in my collection a few weeks ago Darude - Sandstorm... The techno beat pumps me up as well
TRImapper.com - visual triathlon finder
TRIJUICE.com - triathlon news and resource site
yesterday when running I had some stuff from Wolfmother and Rage Against the Machine come up in shuffle mode - both also great for maintaining a good pace.

AHH Titannic song !!
I use Linkin park and Audioslave..Also local band head like a hole..
Yeah darude sandstorm is a good one for cadence..
To get psyched for the Dublin Marathon on Monday I just purchased The Dropkick Murpheys "The Warrior's Code" for 'Shipping Out to Boston'. I'm already wearing it out.
I just found this thread, wondering if anyone's songs had changed...
Personally, it depends on the workout-
Long Stuff-
Led Zep "The Ocean." JJ- any of it, really. OAR- "Conquering fools."
Short, fast stuff-
Trapt-"Headstrong," was my gun truck's theme song in 2003, those thoughts alone pump me up.
Seether- "My way," "six gun quota."
Mudvayne- "World so cold"
Shinedown- "Sound of madness"
i dont know what today will bring to me, but thats just fine.
AC/DC's Highway to Hell is another good one :)
**Pain is weakness leaving the body**
*Smile, it does a body good*
AC/DC - "Thunderstruck" and "Fire your guns" - something about the guitar in the beginning of Fire your guns
Linkin Park (one step closer, points of authority, forgotten) and Nickelback (Never Again, money bought, burn it to the ground)
Three Days Grace - Animal I have become, Riot
Chemical Brothers Block Rockin Beats and Galvanized
during the race if I can't remember any songs I sing Marine Corps Cadences on the run - I sing them to myself of course
"The pain of discipline is far less than the pain of regret" - Sarah Bombell
cadence has gotten me through some tough runs myself, I think they're to myself, for the sake of the people around me haha some of our infantry cadences don't belong anywhere else...
i dont know what today will bring to me, but thats just fine.
Someone mentioned Billy Talent. Not many people have heard of their earlier form "Pezz". Same guys, just different name and different sound. Amazing for running, they're definately a staple on my playlist.
Other staples:
Cancerbats - 'southern hardcore' band from st. catherines (ontario). best stuff for getting pumped up
Girl Talk - always a good beat, never gets boring
Eagles of Death Metal - the guy who mentioned it earlier knows what i'm talking about
"Romance, Bloody Romance" - not a band, but an album, remixes of songs by Death From Above 1979
Easy Star All-Stars - Dub/Reggae covers of "Dark Side of the Moon" and "OK Computer"
Justice - this is just recently, I'm really digging that album
"Loving is labour, labour is life, and life is forever" - Ted Leo
Man a good list going here. I love alot of the songs mentioned. One that I used to listen to before football games was Reqium. Great instumental...really gets you jacked up. Other good songs are.
Disturbed - The Sickness, Prayer, The Game
Fort Minor - Remember the Name
Avenged Sevenfold - Seize the Day, Unholy Confessions, The Beast and the Harlot
There are many others on my workout playlist bu these are some of my favorites.
Does anyone know the name of the song at 1:45 in this clip from YouTube? Near as I can tell it's not from 300, nor Gladiator... I think I heard it in at least one movie, tho,
It's an Ironman Triathlon segment from the 25th anniv. in Hawaii.

I would love to add that to my playlist.

Avenged Sevenfold - Seize the Day, Unholy Confessions, The Beast and the Harlot
Oh Avenged Sevenfold... I totally forgot about them, they used to be a huge part of my running playlist a long time ago. Great stuff.
"Loving is labour, labour is life, and life is forever" - Ted Leo
if you listen to simply any linkin park song you will be jacked beyond belief. seriously just make a linkin park playlist. i've been making workout playlists for years now and have yet to find a better playlist than my one with alot of linkin park. I always migrate back to them.

Are you talking about the Hawaiian song? That is the only song on that link.
"The pain of discipline is far less than the pain of regret" - Sarah Bombell
Yes, I guess it's that song, there is the Hawaiian dude chanting which sounds cool ... not sure if it is one song, or if the chanting audio was mixed over another separate song.

Oh, re: Battle without Honor or Humanity - (Kill Bill Theme Song)
It's a great song.....but every time I hear of it I think of the movie Dodgeball. That kinda is a buzzkill for me.
Sure, Lance A. was in it, so that's cool.
If you like crude humor (as I do immensely) you are no doubt a fan of that flick.

Linkin Park is a great band to work out to. Some great music there.

What song motivates you to kick some ass on race day?
Battle without Honor or Humanity - (Kill Bill Theme Song) - by Tomoyasu Hotei does it for me every time. I love it with the dialog between Uma and Lucy Lui. "You didn't think it was going to be that easy, Did you?" "You know for a moment there, I kind of did" is clipped in the middle.
