How tight are tri tops and bottoms suppose to fit?
Well, I guess I never looked into how they're supposed to fit per se. I have a DeSoto full suit and went by the sizing chart. It is snug, but I don't necessarily feel like I'm going to burst out of it. I do however have to be a little careful when pulling it up not to overstretch or rip it since the upper portion is a thin material.
However...it should basically be skin tight. Otherwise, what would the point of being in an aggressive position on the bike only to have a "drag suit" on to negate the positive effects of good positioning. Same goes with the swim for non-wetsuit races. The tighter the better I say as long as I'm not compromising the material.
Don't know specifically about LG tho
I am 6'4 220#. I have the shark power top and shorts and I think they are maybe a bit small compared to other brands, but yes, very snug. I have a size L shorts and my waist is 34-35, they say 36, so 1 inch smaller than their reported size and i have a XXL top, and my chest is 44-45 in which is also smaller than they report, a 46.
I also have a size L bib from them, and it fits the same as the tri shorts.
I would go 1 size larger. I originally ordered the XL top and had to return it, but I knew the shorts fit due to me already owning the bib shorts.
I figure skin tight is what I'm going for since it won't be a "drag suit" and little chance of chafing. I'd say that's probably about right, since that's about what I look like in mine @ 6' 0" and 175 lbs in a size M.
looks pretty standard to me...you just need to get used to the snugness. I had been wearing run spandex through high school and unisuits in college along with all sorts of tight fitting spandex tops when I rowed, so tight athletic clothes are just second nature. You might just need to adjust
It's hard to tell how tight the bottoms are but it seems like a good fit
Cool, Thanks for all the help guys.
My DeSoto is so tight that I actually called to make sure. I was told that if I could get into it, it's the right size.

De Soto clothes are snug. When you talk to Emilio or anyone of his people, snug is what you want. Men and Women.
Remember the body gluide or sport shield.
I have a LG sharkskin suit and its a medium. We are similar dimensions and mine fits comfortably snug at that size.

Hi,
I've recently purchased the LG comp tri top and bottom according to the size charts on LG's website. I am unsure of the fit, but it feels very snug, sticks to my skin. I was looking at my ass in the mirror, and it seems as though my rear end is about the burst through.
I am 5' 10 155lbs and my recent measurements by tape are:
Chest: 37.5
Waist: 31
Hips: 38
According to LG:
Top size S: 38
Bottoms S: 32 waist, 38 hips
I guess my questions are:
do LG's normally run small? Or maybe the sizes listed are max limit sizes. should I go for the bigger size?
