RR:Big Fish My First Tri
Great work on finishing!! Now that nothing bad will ever happen again ;) you have nothing to worry about. Good luck with the next one!!
You always remember your first! Someday you'll look back on this race and have a good laugh about it...
Nice job!
Man, it sounds like you got all your problems out on the same race. Your next few races should be as smooth as ever.
Congrats on finishing. Honestly. And especially congrats for finishing the swim. I hated my first tri swim, and I can't even imagine doing it with asthma. Good on ya.

Great Job finishing!!!! You're a braver soul than I for standing the 65 degree water. I did an olympic in about the same conditions in a wetsuit and came out feeling like I had been spun around on an office chair, so finishing with asthma is an accomplishment in itself.
Count every race as a learning experience. Even the ones that go exactly to plan. Sounds like you'll have a lot to learn from this race.

Yay! You did it! And even with all those obstacles :) Congrats.

My first race was at Big Fish on the 22nd and I was so nervous. The water temp was 65 degrees and I didn't have a wet suit. My asthma started acting up as soon as my whole body was in the water. My 500 meter race took me 17 minutes. I was the almost the last woman out of the water and I had a hard time pulling my body out of the water. I got out of T1 and my bike wouldn't shift gears so I got off my bike and tired to fix it. I got back on and on my way back my chain came off with only a 1.5 left to go. It took me 10-15min to put it back on. On the run I got a huge blister and at the last half a mile I ran without my shoes on and I still passed other racers. I had a lot fun and I enjoyed it but I wish I didn't have so many problems. I never expected to have all my fears happen to me on my first race.
