Addicted to Acai
Yeah, I love almost anything acai. Anything.
acai, carrot, apple, 2 strawberries.......awesome!
I really like it just as a hot tea personally. Though in smoothies its damn tasty too. My roommate also had some acai based energy drink the other day. Not my thing, but it was quite tasty.

Hmmmmm. I'm really trying to believe that this isn't spam, but I have a hard time convincing myself. At any rate, I've never tried Acai, and I'm not about to.
My thoughts exactly
It's really not spam. I was up late last night, was bored and thought "man I wish the smoothie king was open" hehe. I've been "lurking" for a while now - just never posted. Sorry for any confusion.

I don't get it, guys...isn't acai a type of berry? How is this spam? There was no brand mentioned or any other commercial reference. It's like saying I like strawberries; while not particularly interesting, I'm not selling anything. Chunky, I've come to expect more.

Yes, Acai is a berry from the acai palm mainly from brazil. It's very nutrient dense and is a good source of Omega6. It has been thought to have many antioxidant properties due to it's dark color and IMHO just plain tastes great.
But I guess, old dude could be "Brazil" trying to sell us up the river.......

Chunky is "da man" when it comes to spam detection around here and while his spidey sense was tingling here, he did refrain from passing judgement or slapping anyone upside the head (it isn't pretty).
I am glad this was just one of our many "2AM in the morning and I was just wondering..." posts and don't ever let your guard down Chunky!!

I know; I was joking/giving him a hard time. Actually, lately I've been more impressed with his willingness to jump in with a correction when idiots like me post a bad link to something. He's almost reached superhero status in my mind.

Unfortunately Chunky was bitten by radioactive spam as a young child. Then when his home planet was doomed to explode his parents sent him off to Earth where his powers would thrive under the yellow sun. His adoptive parents then taught him right and wrong and exposed him to lots of commercial TV. Combined with the radioactive spam bite and the yellow sun of earth, he developed his heighted sense of commercialism, and fondness for badly dubbed Kung fu movies on Saturday Afternoons.

As explained by Oprah's Doctor Perricone;
Superfood No. 1: Açaí
Nature's Energy Fruit
It may seem odd to start this list of superfoods with one you’ve likely never even heard of. But studies have shown that this little berry is one of the most nutritious and powerful foods in the world! Açaí (ah-sigh-ee) is the high-energy berry of a special Amazon palm tree. Harvested in the rainforests of Brazil, açaí tastes like a vibrant blend of berries and chocolate. Hidden within its royal purple pigment is the magic that makes it nature's perfect energy fruit. Açaí is packed full of antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. Although açaí may not be available in your local supermarket, you can find it in several health food and gourmet stores (often in juice form). A new product featuring the unsweetened pulp is now also available, and I highly recommend that you choose this form of açaí.
Açaí pulp contains:
A remarkable concentration of antioxidants that help combat premature aging, with 10 times more antioxidants than red grapes and 10 to 30 times the anthocyanins of red wine.
A synergy of monounsaturated (healthy) fats, dietary fiber and phytosterols to help promote cardiovascular and digestive health.
An almost perfect essential amino acid complex in conjunction with valuable trace minerals, vital to proper muscle contraction and regeneration.
The fatty acid content in açaí resembles that of olive oil, and is rich in monounsaturated oleic acid. Oleic acid is important for a number of reasons. It helps omega-3 fish oils penetrate the cell membrane; together they help make cell membranes more supple. By keeping the cell membrane supple, all hormones, neurotransmitter and insulin receptors function more efficiently. This is particularly important because high insulin levels create an inflammatory state, and we know, inflammation causes aging.

Mexican food is my Açai.
Tonight I'm craving chocolate chip cookies, but I won't say the brand :)
I don't know how to put that funny thing under the c so I can't comment on it.
On a Mac it's Option+C... if you don't have a Mac, well... you should.

That is if you have style and flair! ;-)

Ah yes, the "The Nature Boy".
But does Flair have a Mac?

Style and flair? I'm out. Cheap and easy is more me.
I love the Acai berry. It's has the power to breakdown free radicals; which causes most cancers.
In defense of ChunkyB (I've been a quiet fan for awhile now), pretty much all of the smoothie shops are promoting the heck out of Açaí- when I first saw all the posters and other marketing I thought that it was an individual brand. I came to learn that it isn't the case- whoever is promoting it has done a pretty thorough job.
FWIW, I like it too- thanks to beads1985 for giving me a lot more detail on it!
Cheers,
Kevin

Anyone else love acai smoothies? The best mix I've had so far was with blueberries and grape juice. yummy
