Please Help. Felt B2 or Cervelo P2C (I know you're probably sick of these.)
my vote is for B
I am no where close to getting any bike like this but with all else equal, I think the B2 is one of the best looking bikes out there.
Hi,
I started tri's last March on a craig's list special that did not fit. Looked at Felt and p2c, ordered it and received it in feb 07, finished IM Arizona this Spring. I rode both bikes and just liked the feel of the p2c the best. I went with the dura ace, got it for $2700. Either the Felt or Cervelo will work just fine. I would still go with the Cervelo.
Finishing the race is the only thing that validates the cause.
I ride the P2C. I absolutely love it. However I looked at both bikes and was very close to getting a B2. Got an amazing deal on the Cervélo.
Cool about the trek, I have the 2100.

Have you considered the Felt B12?

Test ride all of them and gets the one that fits you the best and feels the most comfortable.

I got an '08 Felt B12 last December and love it. It's very close to the B2 (same frame design), but you save a little on components and the type of carbon fiber used. I did test ride the Orbea Ora and the Cervelo P2C and personally like the B12 the best. But I agree iwth miner06, ride them all (as I did) and then decide.

Well, well....it looks like the verdict is in....5 for the P2C and 3 for the Felt...
I'll still have to ride them both as miner and others have suggested.
But it will be one of the 2 on my wall and under my butt coming soon.......

Let me start by saying, "I love this site."
I started training for Tri's when I moved to FL about 7-8 months ago. What can I say, I'm hooked.
I'm in the process of switching from Sprints to Olys and think it's about time I get a tri specific bike.
My long term goal is, of course, finishing an IM. I'm hoping to be ready in 18 months to 2yrs.
But I'll train until I'm 60 if I have to.....
I'm looking to get a bike that will hold up to the abuse of training for, and finishing of, an IM.
My LBS, more like "tri shop," has a few choice options from which to choose.
I can get a ;
a) Cervelo P2C (Ultrega) for around $2700 (US)
b) Cervelo P2C (Dura Ace) for $3000 (US)
c) 2007 Felt B2 Usually $3400, but will sell for $3000
d) Orbea Ora (Ultrega) for $2900
I'm really leaning towards either, the Dura Ace P2C or the 07' B2.
I don't really know much about the Orbea, but for some reason the mast style seatpost that you cut scares me for some reason. (Is this all in my head?)
I'm still unsure if I'll really need Dura Ace ,but I hear it lasts longer.
(I've had a Trek 2300pro with Shimano 500 components since 96' and they still work great.)
I don't know why, but I really like the carbon spider on the B2, and the carbon cranks on the Dura Ace P2C.
Once again, any info or knowledge would be of great value to me.
Thanks, JB
