Rhode Island Athlete Guide online
I think noticing this is just proof of the sense of humor we have on course... http://www.trifuel.com/forum/13612/weird-new-rule-for-boise-70-3
I actually found a powerbar I like the other day. First one ever. Raspberry and Cream or something. I have a box of 'em (gotta love freebees).
guess many of the new races truly are "cookie cutter"-like.. missed the boise thread - I wonder how many new races it will be before the ironman 70.3 promoters adjust...
i like the powerbar honey roasted nut and the peanut butter - kind of similar in flavor so I get a bit bored w/them. The funny thing is that they seem to have a bit more oil in the bar so I can get them out of the wrapper in one piece unlike some of the other flavors - chocolate and vanilla are terrible (both flavor and for wrangling them out of the wrapper...
Gotta try the rasberry/cream but it sounds like it may be a bit too sweet for my liking.

Just skimmed through the Rhode Island athletes guide - Getting psyched up but did come across one obvious typo...
Under the RUN section:
A CPSC-approved helmet is required during the entire run including in and out of the transition areas. Any athlete competing without an approved helmet or chinstrap not fastened will be disqualified.
Someone obviously got a little heavy handed w/the cut/paste from the bike section!
Also happy about the aid station menu - Gatorade Endurance Formula (orange flavor) in ready-to-drink sport top bottles, water, PowerBars and PowerBar Gel...
