More congrats to Lucy! Wish I could run that pace any time, let alone off the bike ;-)
Great job Lucy!!
theShiba - any chance you can come out to my next race and write my report for me with the pictures? Great job!
Thanks for your comments, guys... Lucy appreciated the support.
I'd love to come out and report for you, iamtb... All for the very low cost of round-trip, business class airfare, a new Cannon EOS camera with L-series lens, a new Apple Macbook Pro, and a 6 pack of Heineken Light. Hey... you want me reporting in style, don't you?
Congrats to Lucy...I just found out yesterday I had a friend competing out there...that doesn't look like much room to launch on the swim start (very narrow)...I'm sure that had to be pretty hectic.
It wasn't too bad, because they did it in waves of 100, or less... basically, anyone #0-99, #100-199, etc... That means that there were probably less than 100 in every wave, depending on how many people didn't show up... It didn't seem to be as bad as I would have thought it would be.
Lucy said it was pretty crazy, but it looked like most people got out of that little ramp area in a mostly orderly fashion. I think that apprehension about the drop-off at the end of the ramp was enough for most people to tread lightly until they were well in the water.
Thanks for the comment! I'll pass it on yo Lucy...
Great job.. I wish I would of done the race. The water looks like San Dimas. The things we'll swim in!

Lucy (the girlfriend) just completed the Danskin Women's Triathlon at Disneyland California Adventure in California.
The water was really gross, but the race was fairly well organized, and she had a great time. It was a beautiful day for a race. Not too cold, but overcast. Water temp was reported ~78º. Declared wetsuit legal, but hardly anybody was wearing one.
