I'm just wondering how to figure out a price I should put on a bike I would like to sell. It is a 2007 Scott Plasma. It retailed at 3600.00. I've used it for one training season, about 6 months. I also have a 2005 cannondale road bike, which retailed at 1500.00. What should I ask for each of them?? Both are in great condition.

Don't know if this is the same bike....

I'd suggest looking around on Craiglist as well to see if you can find similar bikes. Your LBS might be able to help as well.

My pal just sold her bike (2008 P2C) she bought in Feb for $2500 (purchase price) she rode it for a couple months (800 miles or so) put 1 HIM and sold it for $2150. I think she got out of it without losing too much skin just because the 08P2C is in demand. Bikes are like cars. I got almost 2k off my sworks because it had been sitting in the shop for sale for over a year. Brand new!

you could post it on http://www.roadbikereview.com and see what you can get.

Weary is the path that does not challenge.

Try the above mentioned. Also, put it on ebay with a really high reserve. If it doesn't sell the first time (which it probably will), relist with a lower reserve. Listing fees are reasonable.

I think you even get one relisting for free under certain conditions.
