Wanted to see if anyone knew of a good swim coach in the Minneapolis, MN area. The swim is my weak sport and I'm looking to get some lessons in the off season.

Thanks,
D

Minnesota Masters swimming is a good source for information, Dave Cameron and Scott Tripps (as recommended by triNick) are both listed there. There are many good clubs in the area so you should be able to find something convenient.

I have worked with Craig Charlson of the North Suburban Aquatic club. He is not Tri-specific, but is a good swim coach.

I did the TI with Dave Cameron at the Uptown YWCA last year. He's still there, I saw him on monday. He can give you some lessons for around $200bux or you could join a masters group for free.

I learned alot from him but I learned more still from a masters crew I swam with in NV. Was I good because of him, or was I good because I switched to the masters group... the world may never know.

Weary is the path that does not challenge.

Check out the Family Swim School in Lakeville. I went through the adult swimming lessons (when I was 30). Once I knew how to swim I swam with the masters club a few times. If i lived closer I would swim with the masters every week.

I swam with Dave Camerons Masters club a couple of times, in Richfield in the community pool. This was in the summer so it was outdoors in a 50 meter pool. very cool. It took me a while to get used to the 50 meters!

The family swim school has a smaller group. So you can get more attention.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll have to look into some of my options.

Sorry for the late thanks.
