I have noticed that while training recently, I am running much higher HR's than normal to run at the same pace. I think this can happen due to overtraining but I have backed off on training. Any advice?

Mine spiked this morning (at the same pace) because it was ridiculously hot & humid. This also happens to me when I don't get enough sleep or if I get dehydrated. Lot of variables.

Dehydrated is the one that kills me here in AZ...I have to tell you that I love my scale...not to segue into much else. It tells body fat and body water %. I know that when I get below 54-55% body water %, my excercise that day will suffer. But, I then know to drink A LOT! I feel like I'm peeing every 5 minutes, and then my body water % is better and my exercise is better...

Anyway, long way to say dehydration kills. :)

Thank you. Thought there may be more to this and I will keep an eye on it as I feel that my recent training days have been pretty weak

Brooks,

I was having some trouble a while back with spikes in my HR reading on my Garmin especially at the start of my runs. I determined it was because of some interference and keeping my sensors wet (with some salt also) really leveled things out. Hope this helps

Well, it was 59 here early this morning, so not so much.
