Has anyone else noticed the Macy's ads are slowing down your browser?

i notice a bit of a slowdown. They are being fed by Google so I set to not display Macy's so hopefully they will filter out soon.

Yes, I HATE THAT!

I thought it was just me or my browser, but didn't say anything. The flash ads are killing web, they slow down the web viewing experience...

Tribro, FYI when I was responding to this post I still got a Macy's ad on the sidebar but not on top.

I use firefox with AdBlock, and I haven't seen a single ad on the site since. I realize that's kind of lame because tribro makes money from us clicking the ads (I think) but I get sick of being bombarded with ads, although this site is one of the better ones as far as ads go.

i click on ads every now and then just to give Tribro income, but there haven't been many that have actually held any real intrigue for me

I run some sites as well and have a similar setup. Yes he does, but don't abuse the system, it's called click fraud. Click on stuff that is of interest.

wow click fraud. That's crazy... I'd never heard of it. Guess I'll have to find things that are interesting then -- and if the supplier does a good job of knowing what we'll like it shouldn't be too hard :)

Yeah, I wouldn't post stuff like this. We don't want Trifuel's advertisers to think we're just clicking to click. That would lead to no more advertising, and therefore no more trifuel. And if there's no more trifuel, then there are no more "ingrown hair on my taint" threads.

No one wants that.

If I understand the rules of Google AdSense correctly, Tribro is not allowed to comment.... But, in short, he would make money per-click on google ads. I believe that the other static ads on the site are a fixed rate... http://www.trifuel.com/about/advertising.php

And if caught, you go to Internet prison with the guy from Nigeria who has an uncle that wants to split 50 million dollars with him and just needs my bank account number. In a cell nearby is the woman who knows exactly what my girlfriend needs... me to have a large bottle of Viagra. No, that's right, she's still on the loose last I checked my email.

I can't really talk about this since I'm suing Pfizer. They promised a four hour erection... they call it a "side effect"... I call it a promise they couldn't keep.

This topic has completely morphed itself into the gutter.

Apparently, that's the quality that makes the thread good
