02/05 Training
Ran through the hills around the college today, beautiful afternoon, finally in the upper 50's, heart rate peaked at 155 - all around good feeling, no aches or pains!
Now to have a boatload of pasta!

long ride... 5 hours, 65 miles with some of the team....40 degrees, puddles and road grit all over, sooo many traffic lights/signs... My hrm wasn't picking up because the strap was as small as it would go but it loses contact when i'm bent over on the bike but I'd guess it averaged around 150. Stopped at a bakery in concord for 5 min and got cinnamon rolls... Love riding the bike... Lot's of fun! Definitely not my best leg of a tri, but its my favorite...
"Long" ride (but a down week for cycling). 1 hour, 45 minutes on the indoor trainer in a spin class. Probably ended up going a little too hard but it was a good workout nonetheless. We'll see how it affects tomorrow's long run.

20+ miles of hills today with my marathon training group (First 20 miler of this training cycle for our April marathon). Sunday means swimming (and possibly cycling if I can get everything done I need to do before kick-off)...
5k run - it took 3k to loosen up my ankles.
800m swim - I forgot my goggles, by 800m my eyes were burning and I had to stop. Mustn't do that again!

Saturday:
Morning swimming 1km
Beginning of the Afternoon bike 40km
run in the evening: 35min only, at 9pm it was too late for a second lap
20k run with the running club. First time I've run this course and it has some tough hills.
Felt pretty good though. Nice cool sunny morning.

A day late, but what the hell, did 42.5 mile ride in Kanaan and Mulholland canyons. Fun ride, lots of hills.
w00t!!!
9am to 2am on the 6th - 50 miles of mountain biking, 6 miles of trekking, 8 miles of kayaking, lots of navigation choices, 8000 feet of elevation gain. Could only complete half the checkpoints, but we outlasted a lot of people. Feet injuries and exhastion had us turn-around at midnight. Still took two hours to get back. All this, and it was just a training exercise! Very cool experience. Already planning the next bout of endur-craziness. :)

Saturday long ride day (long for me - still working may way up). Anyway 1 hour 45 minutes on the trainer. Average Heart rate 125. A little low but a good workout. Kinda bonked toward the end was supposed to do 2 hours but just couldn't push myself for the last 15 minutes. My form and cadence was going to down the drain.
