cycling computer recommendation
The Cateye Strada is a great computer. Kind of the quintissential basic bike computer. Here's the Amazon link . It even has cadence, which I really like to have.
Other than that, there are plenty of good cyclocomputers for under $40. Cateye is definitely one of the most trusted companies out there. I also had a Sigma BC1600 that I really liked. I don't think they make that specific one anymore, but I was really happy with it. The only reason I don't use it anymore is because I got a Garmin. If you check Pricepoint, Nashbar, and PerformanceBike, you should be able to find a great computer for $25-$40. Good luck.

The cateye cadence is a LOT more than just the plain wireless. It doesn't seem worth it. If you're going to spend that kind of money, you might as well invest in the Garmin Forerunner with Cadence.

The link above is for the cadence, and it's only 40 bucks. If you need wireless, which the OP probably doesn't since he's looking to stay under $40, then maybe you'll have to pay more.
IMO, I'd much rather have wires and cadence than wireless and no cadence.

I am looking to purchase a cycle computer and want recommendations. I don't want to spend more than $50 ($40 if possible), and I want to make sure that I have the basics included - speed, distance, time, average speed, etc.
Thanks in advance for your help!!
