I Hate NY -- Tucson or Vegas

Lottery results are in for the marathon and I'm not going so I hate them.

Since I have other obligations, my choices are Tucson or Vegas. I was thinking Vegas but somebody said it's pretty boring and Tucson is cool.

Comments?

Welcome to the club. I just mostly hate the Yankees.

If you haven't been to Vegas yet, that's an easy decision.

I've been to Vegas. I just haven't done the marathon. Trying to figure out which will be better for entertainment value while running.

We have a marathon here??? Depending on where the marathon is ( i think I have an idea) you'll mostly be looking at pretty scenic views with very little city attractions. If you give me a link maybe I'll be real nice and go snap a few pics of your race course for you =D

The vegas marathon is only interesting for the 3 miles it's on the strip... other than that boooooooring. If you like peeps cheering you for the whole 26.2 I wouldn't do Vegas... but if you're looking to sack another marathon in a different state, Vegas will definitely do. Plus it's late in the fall/early winter so it'll be nice and cool. This last year it was so cold I opted out.

my .02

Weary is the path that does not challenge.

I have heard the same thing about the boring factor.

I am doing NYC this year but I missed in the lottery twice and I did 9 NYRR events one year to guaratee and then I had to defer after I got in. It is a endurance event just getting in.

I am also going to do Las Vegas this year too. I want to get my Nevada Marathon in.

If you are running at Vegas let me know.
I have been know to blab incessantly for the whole 26.2, and that won't be boring. ;-)

Nothing to it, but to do it

I really enjoyed the Vegas Half. They have entertainment every few miles (blue man group played last year). I know that at some point the marathon people go ina different direction, so i'm not sure how that was. But I really enjoyed the half!
