Just curious as to how often y'all check trifuel while at work to kill time?

I'm probably somewhere in the 3-5 range...

Way too much. Between the msg boards and the log, probably 20-30 times. I am such a loser that I subscribe to all the posts and get e-mail notifications on my phone that there is a new msg. Weekends are just as bad. :( I was a myspace whore for awhile, but myspace is blocked at work. They should block trifuel.com too.

Yeah, I check more than I should. I have "recent posts" as one of my homepages in firefox, so I pretty much check it every time I open a browser window.

It's safe to say that if my boss knew how much I checked it, he would not be happy.

You mean you can check during the day?
Of course I only visit the site outside of my normal working hours.

More than the average bear. I'd say 25 times a day.

Wait, so you've been a member one day and your claiming an "average" of 25 per day, but you've only posted 8 times. So, you need to post 17 more times today to keep up your average. But eight posts in one day is a killer pace.

It didn't ask how many times we POST per day, it asked how many times we CHECK per day.

I'm fortunate that trifuel doesn't have "Trifuel Mobile" for us smart phone users.

Everytime I get online to check my email, I also check Trifuel. So once in the morning when I get up. About once or twice an hour while at work. And anywhere from 2-4 times in the evening. Basically, every time I'm in front of a computer.

Does 'Hyperactive Trifuler' mean anything to ya?
I log on in the morning and it sits in the background all day.

Some days I am too busy to post but I'll read.
Other days I'll be on a tear and post rather frequently.

Tribro, it must bring a little tear to your eyes to see all the addicts in this thread who have a positive ratio of posts to days as a member

It is not an addiction.
I could log off if I wanted to....maybe ;-)

I actually found that I was checking it so often I had to create a rule for myself. I only check it once during the work day, but on my hour long train rides to and from work, I'd say its trifuel all the way...

I'm not addicted, because addiction means that you want to stop and you can't. I don't want to stop, so I'm not addicted...

I think that's someone's sig block around here - its a perfect fit.

To tri or not to tri - that's not a question at all!

Def. check on here when I need a new view to my eyes on the computer. I and others at work helped started up a Fit Club at work so I just state, "Oh I'm looking up things for the fit club. " (lol) So it's like alot when I look on here.

Haha, this makes me feel so much better about myself. I'd say I'm in the 6-10 range and here i was thinking that I was checking it just way too much.
Personally I think it's a big thumbs up to the content generated that it actually can support this many checks in one day. The idea that I can post a question (as the majority of my posts have been, I'm very new to the sport) and have 10 people with 5+ years in triathlons answer it within 15 minutes makes this site an invaluable tool. Thanks guy and thanks Tribro!

Needless to say...I get very dissapointed when I get to the point where I feel like I've earned the right to check again and there are only like 2 posts...usually seems to be Thursday/Fridays when it slows a bit.

But Mondays/Tuesdays are nice with the barage of race reports and questions generated over the weekend of training

Before I was downsized from my job at the end of last year, I'd check-in with coffee in the morning and then maybe once or twice before lunch, then again after my lunch run and once or twice more during the afternoon. Trifuel was the only place to "dialog" with intelligent people.

Now that I'm crazy busy trying to get a start-up off the ground there are fewer visits some days, but no matter how hectic, trifuel is still there, always on my mind :)

FWIW, I think I check it a little bit more often ever since that "Man Tri" thread was created.

I do agree with jsk85. I'm always a little disappointed when I check, and there aren't any new posts at all. It kind of makes me feel like I'm the biggest loser at TF, because I'm the only one who has time to check that often.

Someone must have posted something obscene in the man tri section...or maybe all the comments just kept building it up...I got the "weighted phrase limit exceeded"...so now that post is blocked for me while at work

Yeah. The second post has the F-word in it. Maybe a moderator could go delete that post and remind the poster of the forum rules.

LOL!

I think tribro is revising his ad rates upwards as we speak.

Me - about 3-5 a day during the week, maybe once daily on the w/e unless I'm at a race like last w/e in Oliver watching BBB wimp out because of the downpour and 12 degree temps.
