More importantly, I believe that part of the Ironman policy is that if you are caught transferring/selling/using another's registration, you may be banned from all future Ironman-branded events.

Even though the May 30 deadline has passed, go ahead and contact the race director anyways. But, realize that most likely you're just out the money unless you and your buyer are big risk-takers.
