Thanks to my trifuel newsletter for the scoop...

USAT now has a series called "Aquabike" that let's you compete in longer races (1/2 IM and IM distances) and stop after the bike. No running! Probably the only race I'll travel to this year would be Buffalo Springs to do this. Seriously...this made my day :D

Excellent! Let me know how the race is. So, do you know - is it going to be like a Tour de France bike type finish. You can roll through and point to the sky :)

p.s. good to know people are reading the newsletter...

..then fall over in exhaustion in a heap of screeching metal, Powerbar wrappers and ruptured skin..

It better be an uphill finish, or the volunteers are going to have a hard time putting the medals on the finishers as they cross the line!

:)
LoL

ps. love the newsletter.

ya, it'll be interesting to see how it's done. sprint finishes with aerobars and exhausted riders will be hectic I'd think.

I did it! I signed up for Buffalo Springs 1/2 IM in the Aquabike division. I'll be sure to post a race report afterwards. Very excited about this race. No running...WAHOO!
