Shark Attack Triathlon (for kids)
That's awesome! I wish I would have started at that age. =)
"If it takes a level in insanity to run 26.2 miles, what does it take to go farther?"
No kidding. Me too.
You know what they practiced the most? Going through the finish line with their arms in the air. :)
My 5 year old often says he's going to run in a "kids triathlon" and I'm always trying to think of how to organize one! I think that looks like an awesome day, and looking at those big grins on your kids' faces is priceless! Great post. My 5 year old has already told me that he's going to run through the finish line with me tomorrow. They really clue in on that grab the glory at the end part!
When they had this race in Saratoga Springs, I loved the kids tri more then the one I competed in. Thats awsome they did it, I just wish they had more of them around here.
they look like they had a blast!
that's the kind of joy racing should be!
what a proud dad you must be!
Congrats to both of them! Kid tris are a blast to watch.

AWESOME!
Don't be so easy on yourself 'cause this one might be all that you have left
My two older kids loved it too! Just like daddy, they weren't in medal contention, but they had a fun time. The best was watching my 6 year old on his single speed with 16 inch, Batman wheels.

I'm a retard. I sit at a computer almost every day and still can't figure out how to post a picture.

Here it is. It has to be a link to the actual picture, instead of just the page where the picture is.

Huh. One of my kids is named Spencer, too. How 'bout that.
Dude, you're like my faster, buffer, less bald doppleganger.

Add "older" and "less literate" to the list. I had to look up doppelganger in the dictionary. :)
Whoa. It keeps getting deeper. I just noticed we joined TriFuel on the same day.

After watching dad do tris, my kids just had to get a piece of the action. My older two (8 and 7) did the Shark Attack Tri this morning. Props to the Desert Shark Tri club. They did an outstanding job.
For myself, I must say that watching my kids do a tri is even more fun than doing one myself. Way fun!
