sorry, but any site that plays music I don't even look at -- it bugs me too much.

I was thinking about taking it off
why would someone want to go to that site? it adds no value. i don't want to look at pictures of this guy and listen to his music. look at trifuel.com. there are helful product reviews, forums, race information, etc. btw, i hate music on web sites as well.
Most of these sites are pointless, blogs included.

+ a million. There's nothing more annoying than having like 30 tabs open and not being able to figure out which freaking one is playing the annoying crappy acoustic guitar music. Plus, it seems to always be a ton louder than whatever I'm playing in iTunes at the time, which ups the annoying factor.

Aren't you like 16 years old? Not a bad job on the site. It's like Jordan Rapp is your model... superstar triathlete / web dev guy. Lucas isn't related to Jonathon Caron is he?

They're pretty much standard fare for acquiring sponsorships. Pretty much every pro has one, and it doesn't hurt to have one if you're close to going pro. Lucas is still maybe a couple years off from racing elite, but he's still young and has a lot of potential. It would be good to start building some sponsor relationships now for him. Even if he doesn't stay with them, it's good to have on his resume.
I don't know if Lucas has had any media exposure or not, but if he has, that would be a good thing to include. I suppose you're going to set up links from the home page to separate race reports and results pages? Is the "about" tab going to be like a bio page? He needs one of those. Even if he doesn't have any contracted sponsors, I'm sure he gets help from at least one of the shops in town.....it would be nice to start a "links" page or something like that and include a link there. Keep looking at established pros' sites for more ideas. It looks pretty good so far.....just get rid of the music.
edit: I found a pic of me in there......number 5/7 on slide.com. I'm in the orange and blue suit.

I think what he's asking is, why would someone want to go to that site—it lacks appeal. What can his site offer to the community? That being said, it's obviously just an information page about him, so does it need to have some kind of unique appeal?
I get the question, I think... what can you add to this page to make him stand out to potential sponsors?

So ya, Its my buddies site, and I been working on it a few days now.
