zipp 808 or zipp 1080

1080s are faster. IMLP is a fairly fast course. The only non-drafting race this year that I'm doing and not using a 1080/disc is Alcatraz. Zipp says the 1080 is similar in a cross-wind to a trispoke. If you're comfortable handling that, I don't see any reason not to use them. I used a 1080/disc for Memphis in May a couple weeks ago (pretty gusty that day) and did a pretty comfortable 57 min bike split with the wheels without too much wind-related drama.

Not fast enough.

What I didn't mention was that I have a disc and a Hed 3 on the front for fast flat courses and these wheels would be mostly used on hilly courses. Does that change anything?

I am in the market for a new set of wheels and was just curious what you would ride in Lake Placid. Zipp 808's or Zipp 1080's?
