Is there any way to repair a bike tire?

Is it a hole or a rip in the tire? If it's a rip, this shouldn't even be a question. Tires are cheap, you're life is not.

Use that tire on the trainer and get a new one for the road.

Not long term. You could - short term during a ride or race - put a 'boot' inside the tire: between the tube and tire wall you could put a tire patch or better yet, an empty gu wrapper. Put the tube in and inflate. Anything to keep the 100+psi of air pressure from pushing the tube through the hole in the tire. When this happens, you have an automatic and instantaneous flat (ie, blow-out) which is what tsilcyc refers to when he said it is dangerous to ride on a tire you know has a hole in it. It sucks, I know, but buy a new tire. Keep it and use it for winter indoor-training on a trainer which can use lower air pressure and tend to shred tires anyway.

Yep, visit pricepoint.com and pick something up on closeout if you don't have a ton of cash to spend. That is where I purchase tires and tubes for generally less than the cost of a kids Happy Meal.
Don't risk it with a 100 psi inflation and running 25 - 35 mph with nothing but a small lycra patch between you and the road surface.

I have repaired small holes in clincher tires by applying a small amount of super glue, letting it dry, and then very lightly removing the excess glue with sand paper. You may need to apply a patch on the inside of the tire for backing.
I recently bought new tires for my bike only to dig a nail out of them a few weeks later. The guy at the bike shop said i need to get a new one, is there anything i can do with this tire? it's almost brand new minus the hole.
